i did a lasik procedure for my eyes 4 years ago some people are saying this is still a new procedure any one with bad experience??my brother and sister want to make it too and depending on my experience i feel responsible to get more information.thanks
I have done both PRK and Lasik methods. The recovery from PRK is painful and long whilst the recovery from Lasik is overnight. Only a doctor can tell you which is the right method and the surgery should only be performed by a good ophthalmologist with plenty experience.
I had lasik last April at Al Magrebi Clinic (AL Ahli hopsital). They will discuss with you first, and have good written material to explain the risks and benefits. They did extensive tests first to ensure I was suitable. The procedure isn't pleasant at all, and for a couple of hours your eyes are ultra sensitive to light, but after that..... the pleasure of being able to see into the distance without glasses makes everything worth it. For a couple of weeks my eyes were red, and you have to wear eye shields at night, but that passes... If you are over 40 your eyes deteriorate with age, and lasik cant stop that process, so now I have to wear glasses for reading, which I didnt before. But still very very happy that I did it.
for over 20 years now. It, however, is not for everyone. I had lasik in July. I am generally happy, but still do not have 20/20 vision and may have to have it redone next summer. It is relatively expensive (around 9000QR)

No, I did PRK 11 years ago on both eyes. Then the myopia came back on one of my eyes, so had lasik on it last year.
