Hi all,

I am very much confused about these visa types I hear from different people please let me know if they exists or not and what is difference between them. How I know which visa I am currently holding?

Visa Types are-

-Visit Visa
-Tourist Visa
-Family Sponsored Visa

I heard that some visa are issued at airport where as others at ministry of interior (immigration dept). Airport visa (1 month one) cannot be extended but those issued at
MOI can be extended, am I correct?

Please let me know difference between them?

my brother is here in Qatar under my husband's sponsorship. now he found a job however the company called him to inform that they will no longer hire him. The reason provided was that they cannot transfer his visit visa to work visa. the company has informed him that family visit visa from brother in law and father in law has difficulties in transferring to work visa at the immigration.

till now, im confused how i can bring my husband back here in Doha before my delivery on July.

I asked our mandoop if i can bring my husband tru tourist/airport visa. He told me i cannot since this visa needs NOC from previous sponsor. Is it true? Do you or your friends have experience regarding this?

Just in case NOC is not required for tourist visa, after this visa finished, can i apply for family visit visa for 6 months or company business visa (if he is hired)? Or i should wait for 3 months also before applying for visit visa/business visa.

One more thing, if the Ministry approved family visa again, is it true that i cannot apply for any type of visa unless 3 months out of Qatar is finished or the company have working visa for him?

I really need help.

Thanks.

As you said the only feasible way is Tourist Visa which is valid for just a month (unextendable). Secondly, to my knowledge, if the new employer (sponsor)is Govt. or MNC or Sheikh this NOC clause is not seriously considered which I have observed in most cases.

Thanks for the reply...

I think i cannot apply for Business Visa coz I heard he needs NOC from the previous sponsor.

Tourist Visa is valid for 1 month only. I cannot apply for Residence Permit coz my salary is less than required.

He is working here before & the ban will be finished this August so we can find a job for him. Also, I want him to be beside me during my delivery on July.

Is there any other solution to bring him here?

Well maximum you can apply after 2 and half months after exit and certainly not before. Alternatively, you can bring him on Business Visa or Tourist Visa or Residence Permit (Employment Visa).

As per the necessity you can apply visit visa for your sister. If she is coming down just visiting your family, then you can go for 1 month visa to be processed at Airport Immigration (not extendable further). Or if she is coming down for a specific purpose (i.e. employment) then apply her Visit Visa from Immigration Dept. But initially they grant visa for 1 month only which is extendable for another 5 to 6 months period subject to passing out Medical Tests in Qatar as well as your request.

Does not matter about surname. I am talking about matching father and mother's names in your respective Passports. I guess the fees will be QR. 200/- per month.

Well there is no point of providing sponsorship from your end since you are dependent and sponsored by your husband.

Visit visa (Immigration Dept.) or Airport Immigration (maximum 1 month)is possible only for your husband or your direct relations (i.e. Father, Mother, Brother, Sister & Father in Law, Mother-in-Law, Sister-in-Law or Brother-in-Law and definitely not applicable to cousins or distant relations)

I assume your aunt is not your direct relation so not possible to my knowledge. Anyhow, you can submit and check your luck as you may loose hardly few hours.

is it possible i can sponsor my aunt for visit visa im under husband sponsor or is it ok my husband will sponsor my aunt coming here in doha and im comfused if you applied in airport visa no extension right but if you go on travel agency is it still no extension or they can extend the visa for how many months...plz help me..''You can't put the same shoe on every foot''('',)...

Your cousin can sponsor his own sister provided he is married and living in Qatar with family status, but definitely not your sister.

Because Airport Immigration Dept. will verify the names of parents in their Passports for both sponsor (your cousin) and your sister. If they match only, they will issue, otherwise not.

Ministry of Interior will sanction Visit Visa for one month period only in the beginning. You can extend their Visa validity to maximum 5 more months once medical formalities are fulfilled. No need to wait until 3 months.

hi keshav,

I want to bring my sister here is qatar. Evrybody is rejecting my application as i am a bachelor. Can u advise me, wat is the way out of this? How can i bring my sister on a tourist visa. Even the airport visa, captain said i have to be married. Thanks in advance

By anonymous• 22 Jan 2009 15:44

No, bachelor status male can be allowed to bring only his spouse and kids (if married), otherwise he will not be allowed to bring his parents or brother or sister. But there are other ways of bring them just for one month thru Tourist or Business Visa.

Hi,

If you are staying alone you can apply airport visa ( QA visa) for your brother and the docs needed are both passport copies ( you and brother )and not possible to apply for sister without your wife RP even to obtain tourist visa. Please remember that the jobtitle should not be a labour, welder, painter like low categories.

1) Visit Visa: Can be sponsored by expats. If he/she is working in Qatar and holding valid RP, he/she can sponsor only spouse and children maximum for 6 months subject to passing out in Medical check up at Qatar. To apply and obtain from Immigration Authorities with NOC from the sponsored company/institution.

If expat is staying with family, then they can sponsor parents, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, mother-in-law & Father-in-Law for a span of maximum 6 months subject to passing out in Medical check up at Qatar. To apply and obtain from Immigration Authorities with NOC from the sponsored company/institution.

2) Tourist Visa: To be arranged by Hotels

3) Airport Visa: Without NOC from sponsored company institution, expat can apply and obtain directly from Airport Immigration maximum for a span of 4 weeks, only close relatives.

4) Business Visa: To be sponsored by Companies / Institutions only.
