of these three class-leading compact SUVs can you suggest as the best choice for a family of four? main consideration will be good reliability and fair after-sales service cost. your inputs will be highly appreciated.

their service before you buy sucks too - twice i was in there trying to buy a car, and twice i walked out because the service was so bad and went to Mazda/Nissan.

they will also force you to buy additional options like bluetooth, which is installed in Qatar, which means there is no reason for it to be obligatory. they are taking advantage of customers and ripping them off.

they are awful.

the CRX will have an excellent resale value - spend a few weeks checking out the car sales in QL - you'll see the CRXs selling for a good price and usually in good time.

GO FOR TOYOTA if you want to have bad service from collecting your new car to maintence. This headache has been discussed in a seperate forum. search for it for more details.

People have been complaining for several years now, its of no use, most people who buy Toyota and if its their only vehicle, they go for private servicing at their own expense.

By the way 5 days is the minimum time, there have been instances when they have taken over 12-15 days too!

Thanks for the reply, but if they take 5 days for every servicing, that might be due to Toyota's management weakness to have less service centre in a highly demanded area. I think somebody should write to them about increasing their centres in order to cater the customer needs quickly and efficiently. That will also definitely increase their sales as well.

Toyota as a brand is excellent if u decide not to take service from Toyota and get ur servicing done in private.

Because After Sales service of Toyota is very bad. You have to leave your car for atleast 5 days for every servicing.

I bought a full option Mits Outlander that gives me some points not provided in CRV full option: 3.0 L engine 220 HP 6 transmission with paddle shift, 650 Watt Rockford Fosgate soundsystem with 10" sub woofer, 18" alloy wheel, electric leather seat with heater, integrated DVD Player, etc. The service interval is 10000 km (compared to CRV every 5000 km)so you don't need be very often bring your car for service.

The best thing is that you can get all of those with QR 5000 less compared to full option CRV!!. Don't forget, Mitsubishi also provide lifetime warranty.

Hmmm.. Qatar Automobiles Co should pay me for this promotion...

Hi,

Can you please elaborate that what is the problem with Toyota in Qatar? is there services and respone is bad or the brand dont suits the Qatar's environment. Your elaborated reply will be highly appreciated as I am moving to Qatar in November 2008 for the employment and will seek a good Car or jeep there.

kind regards,

Goodlife.

CRV is rated the best among the three not just here but in the US. though i heard maintenance cost is a little more than that of x-trail. don't go for rav-4 as it is toyota and toyota services sucks! x-trail will be due for a facelift soon so think about that as well..
