"FOR WE WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT"
The teacher asked a little boy:
TEACHER : Tommy, do you see the tree outside?
TOMMY : Yes.
TEACHER : Tommy, do you see the grass outside?
TOMMY : Yes.
TEACHER : Go outside and look up and see if you can see the sky.
TOMMY : Okay.(He returned a few minutes later) Yes, I saw the sky.
TEACHER : Did you see God?
TOMMY : No.
TEACHER : That's my point. We can't see God because he isn't there. He doesn't exist.
A little girl stood up and wanted to ask the boy some questions.
The teacher agreed and the little girl asked the boy :
LITTLE GIRL : Tommy, do you see the tree outside?
TOMMY : Yes.
LITTLE GIRL : Tommy, do you see the grass outside?
TOMMY : Yesssssssss (getting tired of the questions by this time).
LITTLE GIRL : Did you see the sky?
TOMMY : Yessssssssss.
LITTLE GIRL : Tommy, do you see the teacher?
TOMMY : Yes.
LITTLE GIRL : Do you see her brain?
TOMMY : No.
LITTLE GIRL : Then according to what we were taught today in school, she must not have a brain!!!
"FOR WE WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT"
Ohhh, ok. Let me tell YOU a story about faith:
One day I got sick. So I couldn't go to work. I believed that my employer wouldn't pay me for that day. So he didn't. My faith is strong and true.
Ohhh and by the way, god didn't descend from heaven and placed a mind in my body. It evolved with the rest of me :)
Let me tell you a story about faith…
Once upon a time in a village people were dying for hunger and thrust, they were waiting for rain to come and solve their problems of cultivation and thrust.
All the villagers decided to gather at a big ground and pray to God for the rain.
When they moved towards the ground to pray, there was only a kid who had an umbrella in his hand.
This is what we call faith.
God has given you a mind to think and consider what is good or bad for you, but you are the only person in any situation to make a decision.
“We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give.”
Sir Winston Churchill
I walk by sight. To prove my point:
Last night I cooked up a lovely pasta dish. LO! and behold! In the middle of the bowl was my Savior, his Holiness, The Flying Spaghetti Monster. In an act of rare Divine benediction, he raised his Noodley Appendage and touched my forehead.
We had a pleasant conversation about the plight of under paid migrant laborers, abused house maids and flying Land Rovers (although He DID inform me that it is an illusion, no other deity, or quasi deity, has shown the ability to levitate inanimate objects).
I humbly requested His assistance to fix my ailing satellite connection, but was slapped by the Noodley Appendage and told "you lazy bastard, phone the Orbit dealer".
I share with you these intimate moments from my life to show you that life should not be lived by faith alone.
Then, why do we need to study at school, from primay to college to know about everything, even our brain? If we could knew everything by faith only. Long time ago, without science, people already believe in God, BUT, they haven't got knowledge about the BRAIN yet at that time. How could they say that they believed that they have brain if they don't know that it is inside their head?
