Renting a good basketball court in Qatar

RasheedWallace
By RasheedWallace

We are a group of Lebanese people looking for a good indoor basketball court to rent in Qatar.

Gyms and hotels are not worth it since they require an annual subscription, we only want to play once or twice / week.

We prefer any school or sports club that that has this option at an affordable price.

Please help

Just saw that this subject is post on 2008, now is 2010, do we still don't have basket ball court?

We are also looking for basketball court, for public or for rent both no problem. We only play once or twice per time, and we prefer to pay by time or by month.

Hopefully there is someone who could tell us a detailed address. Indoor better.

Sorry had no idea that the court was so bad there. When i drive by in the car it always looks great.

Basketball for some strange reason doesnt seem as popular here as it does back in Lebanon. Some of the compounds have basketball courts.

Apparently Qatar Foundation has basketball courts, not sure if the general public are allowed to use them. Have you tried Aspire?

I swear HOOPS would make a killing if they opened here!

Good luck!

Hi DottyMum

You got to be kidding me.

The free court at the park close to Landmark is even worse than school courts in my home country, not to mention the basket type and the interruptions from passing people. I went there once and when i returned my wife though i was digging in a forest.

Dear Khalezus

We are not looking for professional players, just a safe place to rent and enjoy.

Dear Paul

Thanks for the info, however it is an outdoor court and the rate is 150 QAR / hour.

Anything else we can check?

I know that your'e looking for indoor courts but you could try the park near Landmark going towards Markhiya. They have outdoor, floodlit basket ball courts. You could play there until you find an indoor court as the weather is cool.

Your only other option is to convince HOOPS to open here!!!

Good luck!
