Splash for Trash 2008
Organised by the Ministry of Environment, Qatar Divers and Alpha Phi Omega Alumni Association (Qatar), the event, called ‘Splash for Trash’, had the attendance of several nationalities.
Minister of Environment HE Abdullah bin Mubarak bin Aaboud al-Midhadi and senior officials at the Ministry of Environment were present at the venue. He lauded the participation of many nationalities.

Yep snorks are good option in Wakra area as it is shallow... I will mention this to my group and will do some environment activity later, this time I will post in QL in advance. We are considering as well Mangrove planting at Wakra but we are trying to get the right municipal person to workout which place is good....

hope you can post the scheds and the places in advance so it can be accomodated...
one suggestion guys, so we can accomodate non divers but snorkells entusiasts...
we can do this beach cleaning at wakra beach... i am very certain we can lift tons of garbage down there.. snorkells to be used will be just fine.
either way, i'm good to go!

cleaning the beaches should be at least a monthly affair..and more advertised. Had I known about it, I would have attended.
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked,the good fortune to run into the ones I do,and the eyesight to tell the difference.
it would be fun doing these dives for a cause...

if i'm able to extricate myself from my current issues, i would love to do some scuba diving myself...
