Rude Drivers...

WE all know that roads here in Qatar is getting busier and congested...we try to be cool and calm as much as we can..but you will lose your temper if you encounter rude drivers within the road...Some will try to overtake you quickly even you are in right lane....doing some foolishness within the road even their children is with them..showing how bad they approaching the road..beating a lot of violation which is not a good example...and definitely as far as the kids are concerned doing such behavior is normal because their parents are doing it also..some of them waving a "dirty finger" even its their fault...

What are th e consequences of this kind of act??? Is their any organization or authorities we can report this kind of drivers...

Drive safely and maintain you patience in the road

where we can report such an act....any some of traffic police dont have the balls to stop this...

last week I have another experience where I was in the roundabout when a Qatari hit the backside of my car..I went down check my car but only few scratches...dont have time to argue coz definitely it wil become worse ang create more traffic..then after I went back to my car...he keeps on beeping me and bump my car again trying to push my car towards the R/A... i went down again ang he started shouting on me..but the four traffic police within the R/A never approached and see clearly what is the argument... and I just decided to leave .... so I just calm myself down and think that to have this kind of incident rather than to have a big crash...

These drivers dont really have the BRAIN at all... even with increasing numbers of universities were establish.. for the name sake ...

Everybody...kindly share your experiences...

The problem I normally face while driving is people not having lane discipline especially while at roundabouts, some people zig zag and cause problems to others.

I have faced such kind of a rude driver and the men came to fight me. They spoke in arabic and i did not understand what they were saying, i made a sign they got very angry, in the mean time the person nearby were arabic. One of the man tried to stop them but they tried to fight with that man as well.

I called the police but they were confident that nothing can stop them. This is so, so beware of the rude drivers here.

Some Drivers don't have that gray matter at all, all they got is Pure "Mierda" in the head.

I use the daily encounters with rude drivers to teach my children what they should not do. In this sense Doha is a perfectly equipped classroom.

Many many years ago in China when they first started to have cars on the road with three cars they had a traffic congestion lol.

Last week I saw two accidents which involved only two cars there were no other cars nor traffic on the street.

Hamad Human resources building two cars - one car was backing down from the parking place and the other car was backing up in the parking space - they crashed - amazing. Not Qataris one was an Indian.

Second crash last Saturday Morning in West Bay, no traffic only two cars one just overran the crossing and crashed another car - he just wasn't fast enough.

Really hilarious considering that both crashes show lack of intelligence and road responsibility by not stopping and looking and not using mirrors nor indicators.

the only plus side is i have developed a "spidey sense" for people doing stupid sh!t on the road and it has made me a better driver

yes! many drivers are not even aware of this!

so my question how do they get their licenses? Or at least why wouldn’t they use this grey matter in their heard, in case they have some?

That's exactly I want to find out myself too. I have posted a question in a separate thread asking about the email address of the Traffic Police Department where I can send the photo I took of car trying to cross a road median after driving on the opposite side of the road against the traffic flow. It happened during a traffic jam.

I posted the photo here but somehow the post was deleted.

There is a small mental decease that most drivers will experience while driving, is called "ROAD RAGE"... unfortunately is their country according to them.

qs, the driver on the service road should stop...and it's the same thing for anyone who's merging into a main road...they should stop and ensure that the coast is clear before proceeding...sadly many drivers are not aware of this :-(

and if i may add instead of saying "f*@%k you", just say "bless you" =)

"there's hope

it doesn't cost a thing to smile

you don't have to pay to laugh

you better thank God for that"

sometimes I think that they simply don’t know the rules! Wallah no kidding..

tell me this thing:

Driver 1 takes off from the main road to the service road. Driver 2 is driving on the service road…they intersect on the exit from the main road to the service road. Which driver should stop and let another driver pass?

Agree with UKeng..ignoring is hard, but best to do, otherwise you will drive yourself crazy..Just practice defensive driving and ignore, safety is more important than reacting to the irrepsonsible and rude drivers.

just be cautious enough...

And ignore them.. otherwise you just wind yourself up. The Authorities are not bothered with kind of behaviour and turn a bling eye.. however if you park on a pavemnet you are guaranteed to get QR300 fine and 3 points on your liecence..
