Is Gossip Girl an "in" thing here?

Is the series "Gossip Girl" an "in" thing here, as well as other teen series?

If not, what series do most young people watch here? Do you guys watch AXN or Star World (can I find those channels on cable here? there are so many channels on doha's cable, i haven't had the chance to check.)
