Weather

I'm visiting Qatar in a few days. I've been checking out the weather and it seems to be lovely and hot - 80/82. Someone on here has written it will be very cold soon!
:-( I hope not, I'm expecting to get a nice tan! LOL
Please can you tell me when you expect it to be colder? And what do you mean by cold..70/75?

I don't like wearing trousers although I have to wear them over here in the winter. I prefer jeans but hey who wants to wear them in that heat. I will have to be excepted in my skirts I'm afraid or go shopping whilst I'm out there :-)

Dawn, just ditch the skirts and wear trousers.

You wont have a problem, it's just that the general advice is to dress modestly out of respect for the conservative nature of the country. This is taken to mean below the knee, shoulders covered, tops not too low cut, nothing too tight.

However, more and more people are either choosing to ignore this or are ignorant of the guidelines.

Cover my knees!!! I don't have one skirt that covers my knees! Is there a problem out there with short skirts?..Not short short but above the knee.

Dawn, you don't need any cardigans! "Very cold" here means when it dips below 80, lol!

Don't worry, it's great weather to work on your tan.

Emm, ..you weren't going to bring any trousers?

I'm guessing you were planning on shorts. If you're planning to pry yourself away from the pool and go out in public, you will need trousers or at least capri-length pants that cover the knees.

Just bring a light jacket, long-sleeved shirt, or pashmina in case you are out on a breezy evening.

It's currently pleasant during the day (still ok to wear shorts & shirt) but chillier in the evening (trousers and light jumper more applicable).

If there's a wind blowing (which often happens) then it will feel colder.

It seems so strange that there can be a chill in the air when it is 78/80/82 degrees. I'm yet to experience this! Here in the UK it is 50. I will bring my cardi's just in case :-)I certainly wasn't going to bring any trousers! I better pack them too then!

Thanks for the advise.
