Does anyone know the best way to remove small marks (possibly left by standing water?) from marble tiles.
I have tried various marble cleaners and waxes, but no luck yet.
-its a porous material once stained cant fully removed it
-high in maintenance, water proof or stain proof it first b4 steping on it.
-easy to break.
-polish easilly fade, needs regular polishing.
-it reacts w/ chemicals, bec. of its natural components.
i used to work as a stone mason, marbles are not good as tiles, granites are good, composite stones are best like ceasars stones(hard to break, no stains, no reactions to chemicals etc.
Pour white vinegar on the stain and leave it for about 10 minutes, then use really hot water and wash it away... that should work lool, i think i saw that on "how clean is your house" good tv programme in the UK... Good Luck :)

thanks. the stains are quite obvious. almost like paint has been spilt on the tile, and then washed off, but some of it has soaked in already.
I will certainly give the white vinegar a try. Thos two ladies on that programme have some very interesting ideas!!!
