We had an accident yesterday afternoon eventhough we drive carefully.
Our 2 sons were in the car with us. A young man of arab nationals hit us from behind coz he was rushing during the peak time in front of Pak Shama ex school.
We were really furious and helpless also, especially our children had to experience this unnecessary accident.
Myshadow Doha is much bigger than Westminster..They need more education and the driving tests should be more tougher and finally the traffic laws should be enforced..The amount of police man being used across Doha on roundabouts could easily be used to crack down wild and crazy driving..enough said.. Driving here is like a film scence from Mad Max..only different that was a film and this reality..
i am Qatari and to tell you the truth i find the driving in qatar madness . The problem is i find people in qatar are in a rush all the time , and i still dont understand the reason behind it . i would love to go out frequently but i would rather be at home safe and sound . you should have seen their driving before placing the cameras around qatar , you would be shocked . The death rate in qatar was the highest out of all the other gulf countries and still is i guess . I hope people will just be carefull and think about other people before thinking about themselves
Keep in mind that MANY people driving here are used to driving in the sub-continent - where they all drive like crazy!!! The locals feel they all have somewhere terribly important to be and the ex-pats are just trying to get themselves and their cars safely from A to B! And the ones who have been here a while have just picked up the habits of everyone else. Enjoy the adrenalin rush!!!
its a way they cant give it up, a lot of people came from everywhere in this globe, everyone has to prove his driving skills here !! LOL , so u have to expect such a seen that we see it daily in this city roads
