Qtel Mozaiq

I knew this offer (Qtel Mozaiq) was too good to be true.
I went to Qtel yesterday to sign up, only to be told it was not available in my area, and would not be for another 6 - 8 months! (Prob a year!)
When I questioned further, it appears a lot of the country still doesnt have the cable tv access, only landline and internet.
I am in Muaither.

Anyone else had the same problem?

I now have to get a landline and internet from Qtel, and TV from another supplier (I assume Showtime is the way to go).

Frustrated!!!

wait a couple of days. it'll be available again.

just make sure you get it installed on one of the days it's available, otherwise it'll never work

well, what a surprise. i went back to Qtel today to chase up why i had not had any text about installation, and they now say it is not available in my area!

Are they always this disorganised?

She couldnt tell me if it would be installed in the area or not.

Back to square 1.

just kiddin'

u know when i contacted Q-tel after applying for mozaic probably a week later... the lady who answered the phone told me that it is not available and it will take 6 months approx. and she was so sure about it... and it took her friend longer than 6-mths .. she was so encouraging :P

the same day, i checked with some1 who works in Q-tel that i know and he told me it is available in the system in ur area... so when i called her again she said NO, it is not... and kept saying the same thing till i got an sms from q-tel for appointment... and then, i felt like calling her and telling her how come ???? 6-months are not over yet !

:)

Many of the delays in obtaining landline or Mozaic service are due to road works carried out by the Municipality (Ashgal) and are out of Qtel's control.

Like any technology, Mozaic has technical limitations due to signal dissipating a certain distance from the exchange. The Mozaic coverage area is continually being increased to provide for the growing demand, as Qtel is keen to provide not only telecommunications services but Entertainment as well.
