I remember reading a newspaper article in which there was a section by Ms. Penny Price , director of EMS , HMC who said that in case such a situation occurred, the driver of the vehicle involved had to contact the EMS service with the time and date and the place the incident occurred etc and they could provide a certificate authenticating the driver's statement. I guess with this certificate , if you could go to the Muroor , they would clear you of this fine.

nothing to do body. if i would be the manager in traffic department, i wouldn't agree with you. cause if you see any kind of ERV (emergency response vehicle) coming behind you with sirens on, you must SLOW DOWN and immediately give the way to them by leaving the lane that you are driving. this is the rule in every and each country...sorry but this is the reality...i think you should drink one glass of cold water after this ticket :))

do you still remember the ambulance body number?it usually starts in "3".Or go to the EMS Base inform them of the situation and ask them for the call management copy that you are just trying to give way to the passing ambulance.then i think you need to bring it to the traffic department and they will cancel your violation.

For beating the red light...video. Go to Traffic department and have them review the video. If you let the ambulance to pass thru, it should show you pulling over to let the ambulance pass. If you go straight, then it's hard to justify. A simple tip for QLers...don't move to close to the white line when it's red. At least if there's an emergency, you still have enough room to move your vehicle and not trigger the camera. the sensor (loop detector) is right after the thick line. You'll see the tar marking on the road. It's a magnetic sensor that detects the presence of any vehicle. If a vehicle is sensed, then it's armed. If you move your vehicle to the point that the detector can't sense it, then it'll fire up the camera.

OMG!!! nothing can be done i guess.

please go to the nearest muroor or go to madina khalifa and speak to the HOD 'PERSONALLY'.

if you describe them clearly probably they might check the clips and do something i hope.

according to the officials: CROSSING RED SIGNAL IS THE BIGGEST VIOLATION.

heard they are gonna increase the penalty upto a whopping 10K(sigh)

try to sort it out asap to avoid points against your drivin licence..

avoid such kinda humanitarian moves in future if its not sorted out in a favourable way!!! :)

good luck mate!!!

If you were caught by the camera at the intersection then it should be photographed. If the ambulance went through the same light, or anyone else for that matter it will also be caught by the camera.

If not, wouldnt the first step be explaining this to the police? No one on QL is going to be able to tell you any different.
