From Abu Dhabi to Dubai

I would like to ask if anyone knows how much is the travel time from Abu Dhabi to Dubai by car. I heard one hour, then I was told it's 4-5 hours, so I would like to know from those who have been there.

And is there too much traffic in Abu Dhabi as well?

SPEED

if you drive at the speed of 140KMPH you will reach Dubai (Jabel Ali) within 1 hour and 15mins.

From Jabel Ali to Dubai City Center depends on the time you are traveling. If it is peak time which normally from starts 3pm till 8pm (Jabel Ali to BurDubair or Deira Dubai) then you add another 2- 3 hours.

If you take a route from Jabel Ali to Emirates Road via Business Bay Bridge you will save time.

Again all this depends on smooth traffice flow. If any serious accident then no gurantee for the time :-)

Herne, Chill! Abu Dhabi traffic is soooo much better than Dubai - there's more than one road for a start!

"Make a difference or make way"

its 2 hours if you travel by taxi........1 hour 45 minutes if you drive on your own.....

However there is always the delay caused by accidents in sheikh zayed road (which happens on a daily basis). If you are lucky then consider the above. Abudhabi Duabi is just 150 kms....

herne: There are ppl who reach in an hour but the distance is abt 160-170 km and the prescribed speed limit is ofcourse 120kmph/. (Hav been told that the radars flash at above 140 only, but cant guarantee)

Again it depends on which part of Dubai you wanna reach at what hour of the day...coz you might find some heavy traffic once you get closer to Dubai...
