I will be moving to Qatar soon with my husband and am on long term anti depressant medication - called Seroxat or Paroxetine Hydrochloride - can anyone give me some advice on

- can I bring this into the country if I have a prescription
- is this one of the ones I can buy at a pharmacy
- If I can get it from a doctor in Doha will it have any effect on my residency or work visa?

would really appreciate any advice

thanks so much

hps

I dont agree with kenyaqueen, in any country there are possitive and negative sides and qatar has many possitive sides and you may not need to take depressant medicine here because changing place is higly recommended to heal from such cases.dont worry

Moving to doha is not really good if your on anti-depressents. Appearently, there is a lot of depressing sites, like immigrant workers sleeping in the streets, really bad drivers, hookers in shopping malls, the theathers are always noisy the list gos on and on and on... Can you handle this? lol...

To answer you question! heres what I know about drugs and travel. Sure you can take your pills with you and take a perscription with you as well. Before you go, you might want to ask your doctor what strength you would require for that country incase you run out. As you may or may not know every countries standard and level of perscriptions may be different.
