Do you know where's the Salkara restaurant in Doha?
i love some indian food but i only hate their use of hands in serving the salads and so on ,especially heir hands are not covered
sukh sagar, Saravana bhavan south indian food is good too
where do i get 'makke ki roti and sarson ka saag'
'Chingari' is really good with light music options but high time it need some renovation and change in ambience.
Check out www.diningindoha.com for information on Indian restaurants such as photos, contact info, reviews, online menus etc. My favourite is Chingari's for dining and Asiana Express for delivery!
Khazana and Saravana Bhavan are too good...
Asha's food are tasty but Expensive.....vis a vis to Taj Rasoi and Khazana.....value for money!
Food here is consistently 1st class.
We tried the rest but came back to the best.
Great quality food, cooked very well and really good service.
Top recommendation is Machli Massala - beautifully spiced fish in a rich sauce.
Enjoy....
What about Asha's in Villaggio... I tried Biryani, dal makhni and zira rice... taste is awesome, delhites, Punjabis and lucknowites will surely like it...

WeLl ExPloreR ThNx 4 inFO!!!!!!!
I found Chingari way overpriced and underserviced. The food was mediocre to average for the five-star bill. And the 17% service charge on top of a set price was insult to injury.
Mandi
chingari is the worst place (food and service) both are too bad...!
alishan too provides good indian food
Having come from Saudi, I am amazed at the lack of quality and high prices in India / pakistani restaurants in this country..
chinggari at ramada! d best!
spicy .. HUH Rizks brb dear , damn busy ( last working day )
Bahraini..........
Thank you for inviting me for havin tat Prawns biryani for lunch today, i will surely be there on TIME ...:)
Try the new SukhSagar Restaurant(Vegetarian) opened at Old Salata besides tourist hotel. It has a cool ambience and delicious vegetarian dishes.
Zoonie... try the Prawn Biryani at Royal Tandur .. amazingly tasty
yummy .. might get one today for lunch
Pajju..........
Surprising !! No Comments from U in this thread ...:)
Im glad Chingari (Ramada) was not on the main list since the food suckd (Prawn Biryani was definitely not fresh) and service was not that gr8..........maybe they were having a bad day but I dont think I would go back there.
loved Royal Tandur
Asiana .. was not really good :S
Asha's next ;)
I think it is called Asha or Osha...it is next to Krispy Kreme, Macaroni Grill....
We tried it and meal was wonderful!! The setting, the food, the juices, the service. No complaints.
And, the portions were quite big..Definitely enough for dinner and a take away for the next day. Which is good because it was definitely a bit expensive.
Also, if you are looking for cheap but tasty, try Shamiana in the food court of Hyaat Plaza. You can order from the prepared buffet window items or you can make a special order..either way, it's definitely worth paying 20-30 QR. And, the portions are usually enough for two.
Bukara tastes really good..but expensive.!!!!
Thanks Xplorer...keep us informed in future too.
What about Bukhara near QTF?
Maharajah near sofitel is also good....
I tried Asiana twice but found the food average. I found Star of India better than Asiana.
And for Mumbai fast food .....Bombay PavBhaji, near Airport next to Family Food Centre.
The best South Indian Non-Veg food is definitely by Al Osra....and I just love their spill proof Packing for take-aways.
Thanks for the info..
