Hi.. i would like to know if there are certain rules and regulation against keeping dogs in apartments... coz i have a crossbred terrier.. and i would very much like her staying here with me rather than taking her back home...

You must get an agreement in writing from the landlord for your own protection. Lately, neighbours who simply hate dogs have been calling the Police who will attend and ask to see your contract. The landlord will then just threaten to evict you rather than upset the community. This is not a horror story though, you just need to find a dog friendly compound or landlord. Many, many people live here happily and safely, you just need to do your research. Good luck and remember that it is a minority of people who hate/are scared of/are allergic to dogs. JJ

Thanks God you are not the owner!

Why are you afraid of dogs anyway? They won't hurt if you trat them well (most of them). And there are much scarier things in Doha to be afraid of, and they are humans. And they are allowed to live anywhere.

But to answer to the main question, as tallg said, it really depends on the owner. In my apartment is allowed, in my friend's apartment it's not.

The landlords/owners will have their own rules about pets. Some allow them, others don't. So you'll need to check with them.
