what can be done?

Gaza blockade, Israeli air strike, we are watching history unfold itself before our eyes.

While we live in a peaceful country, we watch civilians and military men suffer and die, children suffering, people dying.

what can we do? we feel helpless, and almost hopeless. surely something can be done... some civic action... if people would come together and voice out.. to where? to who?

it's not my war. but these children are somebody's little angels. one could be thankful that it's not your child/ren. but i lost mine, so i can feel the suffering of the moms.

Boycott Israel Campaign

GPN-35 understand your feelings, but from wht you wrote here, sorry to say you are an extremist. You will never find solution.

I think Israel wanted hamas to fire rockets to attck them and finish of the decades long plan of making it their own land. They suffocated them by blockades , and its quite human they reacted with rockets and thats what Israel wanted to break the ceasefire and shell on them. Its all planned , and they are the best in the world in that, we all know.

Lets pray for peace. thats all we can do.

"US to pray for PEACE"???!!!

The US is the main reason for the wars around the world! How can the US pray for peace???

They can pray for 'piss', for all I care!

why do u keep on ranting abt killing or no killing? This is not the time to be asking who kills most or who is gonna kill who, but a time for all of US to pray for "PEACE" across the Globe.

OK koolcat! I'll change my statement:

So whoever arab or muslim can afford to kill a zionist in Palestine, will have lots of fun :-)

Happy now?

pointing fingers on who started what will never solve anything... for now, all we can offer here is our prayers that this will all end soon...

who knows who goes to Heaven or otherwise?

By anonymous• 6 Jan 2009 16:35

Brilliant rationale. I guess Hamas doesn't have a lot of people going to heaven then, right? They don't seem to be killing too many "zionists"!

By anonymous• 6 Jan 2009 16:30

But we all know that israel has no right to exist in Palestine, 812.

So whoever arab or muslim can afford to kill a zionist in Palestine, will go to heaven :-)

Hamas did this to their own people - they are responsible. If Hamas militants did not intentionally force people to be human shields and they didn't intentionally hide amongst the people and put them at risk this would not have happened like this.

truly sorry for your loss of family...I know that is one pain that can never go away.

It is incredibly sad to watch the news with those little children and people running for their lives and the devastation that follows. How humans can do that to one another is beyond me. This goes so far beyond who did what to one another..its just so basically WRONG.

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do,and the eyesight to tell the difference.

Look at the territorial map! Who would ever wanna have a country with two opposite separate territories in just one government?? How are you gonna transport some goods to the other side if you need to pass miles of Israeli territory?

it's been going on for so long that it's hard to tell who's fault is what. one thing for sure is when you oppress people's basic needs, (food, water, shelter) people will fight. it's a human thing, we fight for self-preservation.

it pains me only that children have to suffer in the midst of adult fighting. when they should be playing, enjoying their childhood like most of people had.

Maybe Palestine should not have attacked Israel to begin with. Maybe that would change things?

let's all pray that the current dispute be resolved in the shortest time as possible.

The best thing you can do is to pray for the people who have lost their lives and are suffering. Also, pray that there is a long term and peaceful solution to this madness.
