Hi friends,
i was just curious about this case, i am going to leave doha for a short vacation, but the problem here is that i have got my car's registration expired last year along with the Insurance which i didn't look over.
there were also couple of fines which i'll settle down but the problem here is about the Registration and Insurance, because i am supposed to depart on Sunday and the Insurance company says they can't renew the Insurance before Monday!.

Pls, help me out if anyone has an experience over this issue.

HAS ANYONE TRAVELLED OUT OF DOHA WITHOUT HAVING ANY PROBLEMS FOR AN EXPIRED REGISTERATION (of car)?

Thanking you.

You cant get out of the country if you didnt renew your istimara and insurance of your car under your name and if there are other pendings to be paid, like traffic violations and in banks, specially, you will not be allowed to get in the plane, it will show up to the system when you are about to check-in. You have to clear up all, get also a clearance letter from bank if you have delayed payments of your credit cards.

I endorse cherukkan's note. You can renew your insurance and car regn. etc. upon your return to doha if no one else is using the car. airport auth. will be alerted only if you have a fine/penalties registered under your ID number. If you have a credit card you can settle the fines on the net.

Yeah, what cherukkan said. You don't need to insure a car you are not using and as you will be away, you won't be using it :o) just make sure that if you lend your car to someone that THEY insure it!!!!

If you do not have any pending fines there is no problem to travel as nobody will check if your car insurance and registration are expired or not.

Just watch out for any pending fines, like radar jumping, signal jumping or anything tht can be called a penalty. Not to worry, if you hav a credit card, you can pay up your fines before leaving the country.

You cannot exit Doha, if you have fines (until you pay them) if you have an expired registration (until you renew it) if you have no insurance (until you insure it)

Look, the insurance Third party laiabiltiy will take only 10 minutes to do it, and your expried registration will take you 5 minutes only. So do it on Sunday early morning and leave.

Good luck!
