Nobody is showing up with new mobile phone models and price paid to buy one.

Has the current recession effected mobile phone buying?

Whatever you said might be right.......the only missing thing is that the prices I quoted are not the current prices and instead are prices I paid to buy those phone models on dates I mentioned against each purchase. I have bills from Jareer and Modern Home for such purchases. I have also seen Sony Ericsson M600i at Carefours for QR.600 but it is now and it was not in early 2007 when this model just entered into the Gulf market...same is for other models....when new models enter in the market, prices are high and when people are fed up with them...you can buy them at unbelievable low prices.

i doubt these 2 units are updated...

Sony Erricsson P900 form Modern Home for QR.2450....2004

Sonny Erricsson M600i from Modern Home for QR.1400..2007

the prices are also not updated... doyourbest... to where did u get all these prices?

above units were already obsolete and rarely anyone could find as a brand new displays. M600i, i found this unit at Carrefour Villaggio as the last piece at a bargain of QAR549.00 last October 2008.

Ericsson P900 couldn't be find even in the Philippines on a brand new... refurbished ones are sold at PHP6500.00 and above varying on the usage. Thats why i end up to buy with Nokia E61i instead.

Whereas at Singapore, i just saw it awhile ago... current prices in Sony at Jurong Point Mall.. the Experia cost at SGD1258.00 while the Ericsson G700 are sold at SGD498.00 inclusive of tax. For visitors, GSTax can be claim at the Changi airport as refund upon departure .

Nokia 5800 is really cool with its beautiful touch screen, high resolution text and graphics, portrait/landscape auto rotation, 8 GB memory and easy wifi connection. There are a lot of of other features as well.

When I purchased it, its market prices (for English + Arabic version) was QR.1650 but I got a discount and paid only QR.1510. In this prices, it is really a nice smartphone.

There is a pink Vertu (alligartor trim). It is around 33,000.

Brit, that Chanel is a bit overpriced for me, I prefer to go a little more low-key and stick to Hermes alligator bags:)
