Smoking

SuperToke
By SuperToke

I've been a "smoker" for many years and moved to Doha about a year ago with my wife.

Now only smoking the occasional cigarette and lots of shisha.

I am worried about smoking too much shisha, any other suggestions/ideas please?

Cheers

Do a lot of research on the bad effects of smoking cigarettes (including shisha, however you spell it). Be sure to understand those, internalize everything you learn... Later on/eventually, you will QUIT. Good luck.

I've got a shisha at home and it used to be really nice and smooth but now its harsh and chokey. I've cleaned it thoroughly but its still pretty nasty. Any ideas????

I consider myself a social smoker, i like to have a ciggie or two when i have a drink, and today is my first ciggi and drink since the 4th in the Uk, now i'm back, taking easy. what can i say, less shisha and ciggies in moderation.

..."Shisha is not that harmful as Smoking Cigarate" -- were your exact words, now you suddenly retracted and went the opposite way... i missed the part where you explained the shisha with tobacco,..in fact, you only brought it up just now, when your statement about shisha not being harmful was contradicted... go figure.

By JunX• 15 Jan 2009 18:44

Omar..Your absolutely wrong... Sheesha is worse... Not that i dont take it.. But, its definetely the worst, compared to cigs.. Even i was in the wrong impression... :)

Shisha is harmful but if we smoke Shisha with tobacco..without tobacco is just a Flavour nothing else...but Cigarettes got tobacco... so that's why i said the shisha is not harmful...

FYI: Shisha is more harmful to cigarettes contrary to what you may think.. check this out: http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/87463.php

..so bottomline: either way is harmful to your health, but the decision is yours to make...

you say you dont have will power and quitting is not an option either,.. guess you have no other choice but to just get on with your usual habit and just smoke at your own risk...you know the dangers anyway so it's entirely up to you.

Where in Doha does the best shisha? I have tried a few places. What's everyone's favourite flavour, I like apple and grape and mint.

Smoking is a lifestyle. The addiction isn't physical. The real addiction is when you have to find something else to do than smoke...

None-smokers hardly understand that. For example: When I have to wait half an hour outside for someone to meet up with me, none smokers stress out, get bored and get angry at the same time. Smokers on the other hand take out a smoke, and chill.

Here in Doha trying to stop going to sheesha is a rather big deal because it's a good way to have some reasonable entertainment.

At least try to slow down.

Good luck

shisha is worst then cigarettes , so my advice is go back to cigarettes not light versions just the normal ones and try to not make it a time killer.

So the answer is to smoke more cigarettes and less shisha. And try to find a supply of good quality weed.
