Whats is the difference? Or are they the same? I know all the big big expressions we use to describe love but here I see the two used interchangeably.Correct me if I'am wrong. The men seem to look at us as an object rather than anything else.
Btw, I'm aware that I'm off tangent for this thread BUT my above post was directed at some people I know (actually, way more than a few) who will be dreading Feb 14 because of all the soppy sentiments that would bring back painful memories.
My point is - be yourself and move on. Do not put your life on hold. No need to blame the other. Everything happens for a reason and always remember that the sun is still shining behind the thick black clouds. You just can't see it yet. All the best to all.

That's not love. That's just infatuation and will fade.
And that's why, SOMETIMES, getting married after a whirlwind courtship is unwise. Some whirlwind courtships do last - because both parties are self aware and adaptable. Spending time together is the key - because the true character shows eventually, however both parties want to create and keep up a good impression. You need to build up sufficient good memories to tide you over the bad times.
Tig, 6 months? Heck, men or women can put on a good show for a good 2 years or more (esp. if they are not spending much time together - eg. long distance relationships).
One last parting shot - (hey, this is only my 2nd edit, while waiting for my late lunch to arrive) - Never change who you really are to please another.
Om Maui...please suggest me what actions tells you are in love with another person (I generally failed to express my love and assume my sweet heart to understand my feelings);
These actions could be just for deceit and not a true love...The true love is a strong feeling, which your heart and soul can recognise....without conditions.

- Oh oh.. life begins at 40? Shucks.. my life hasn't begun yet. Never mind, years pass by quickly.
Another thing you said, "Love is when you care enough about someone to wait for them forever..." - How romantic... but discernment is also needed. The person one thinks she/he loves with reckless abandon, may not be the right one.
Everything happens for a reason. In my upsets, with hindsight, things become crystal clear. But note, I'm speaking from my own particular perspective and stage in life only.
victor bhatt, i beg to disagree. love is not a feeling at all. love is the action. you cannot say you love someone and not do something good for that person. love is the commitment to give and to share whatever good that will serve the person you love.
Love is when you come over to your girlfriends house just to hang out and hug, and you don't need to have sex. Lust is when you come over and do those things to get sex.
people can certainly dress up lust so its almost undetectable...which is why I said women have to be over 40..our vision might be going but our intuition is sharper than ever!!
Cynbob...I love being older and wiser..
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do,and the eyesight to tell the difference.
love is just care for someone with out any demand in your mind is just thst you can't hurt him/her in all matters of life but lust is just opsite it.you care just for try to complete your wish in all matters
you see love is a term that you may use when and only when your with somebody priceless and you have a relationship built on enjoyable moments like being together or talking all day...
Lust is a term you may use when you have a relationship built on sexual tension and moments of proximity..

Lust is a fleeting momen , Love endures.

because once the lust is satisfied...the people move on to another one they lust after.
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do,and the eyesight to tell the difference.
love can be seen on the faces(and actions) of those truly in love with another...just as lust can...but those who look can easily tell the difference.
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do,and the eyesight to tell the difference.
"The men seem to look at us as an object rather than anything else..."
Rabbit, All men want laptops. No man wants Dimond ring!
No lust no love. lust opens way for love. Lust vanishes, love remains....
victor bhatt, i beg to disagree. love is not a feeling at all. love is the action. you cannot say you love someone and not do something good for that person. love is the commitment to give and to share whatever good that will serve the person you love.
lust is taking. love is giving and taking.
only your soul can feel while lust is an action/expression followed by a strong desire....
you can lust over someone, and not have to love him/her.
but when you love a man/woman, you will find yourself lusting over him/her somehow.
Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrbit come come me will show you whats lust and love :D
and having both feeling to someone is make you feeling high and the world seems perfect.
Everybody is right everybody is wrong, it depend where you stand
Love is when you come over to your girlfriends house just to hang out and hug, and you don't need to have sex. Lust is when you come over and do those things to get sex.
you are dictated by emotions for LOVE...while only your physical aspects dominates with LUST...

LOVE IS START....LUST IS END... EVEN AS A RESULT OF MARRIAGE OR JUST DESIRE TO TOUCH...
Love is to be unselfish &
Lust is to be utterly selfish.
Times change, now lust comes all dressed up as love!
Absolutely! I love getting older and smarter! ;)
i can tell you this: "a crush is when you love someone & you why do you love them" "love is when you love someone & you don't know why you love them"
"lust is when you feel the need that you really wanna sleep with someone coz they are hot or something"
only takes us ladies til we are over the age of 40 before we can tell the difference in what the guys think tho!!
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do,and the eyesight to tell the difference.
LOL---that pretty much sums it up!
Love is when you care enough about someone to wait for them forever...
Lust is when you can't wait at all...
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do,and the eyesight to tell the difference.
This is definitly a tricky one...
you see love is a term that you may use when and only when your with somebody priceless and you have a relationship built on enjoyable moments like being together or talking all day...
Lust is a term you may use when you have a relationship built on sexual tension and moments of proximity..
but thats how i see it..
love is u like some one
n lust is u wish something...
