Can I get a family visit visa for my aunt?
By prima_donna •
I'm trying to get my aunt to stay in Qatar for more than a month. I'm pretty sure we can obtain a tourist visa for her but she may have to do a visa run to stay longer than 2 weeks. The MOI website seems to indicate that non-immediate family members (aunts, uncles, cousins) may be eligible for a family visit visa for a maximum of 2 months. But as is with everything in Qatar, this might just be realistically unattainable. Does anyone have experience in applying for family visit visas for non-immediate family members?
Thanks for the replies!
It'll definitely be my husband who'll be doing the application.
Enzo29, did you have to go to the Medinat Khalifa/Gharrafa immigration office to apply for your cousin's visa? Was it relatively straightforward or did you have to see the captain? What kind of documents would I need?
