Hi, im new in this forum. I got a job offer in Doha and i may coming over on end of March. So im planning to bring along my wife and a 1 year old boy. But i will go alone to Doha first. My wife planned to get a nursing job before she comes over. So i need helps from u guys to help her to get a job in DOha. She is currently working in Normah Medical Specialist Centre, a 100 bed private hospital in Malaysia, She is a Registered Nurse with more than 7 years practical experience in Intensive Care Unit. She has more than 5 years of experience being the team leader in the intensive care unit. Anyone can advise and help? Is it better to apply outside Doha? Or only apply when she comes to Doha with visitor visa?

Thank you

Thank you Nata. Actually my wife expected to work for 48hr per week. Thats not a problem, as long as she can get a job there. Anyone know about thread for nursing job in Qatar?? What are the rest hospital in Qatar beside Al Ahli Hospital and Hamad Hospital?

Nursing in Qatar is not easy. There are only 4 hospitals and Hammad Medical Centre, the public hospital here, is the only place she can get a job in a proper ICU. If you go to the Hamad website there is some info there. The hiring process in Hamad is very lengthy. She can also apply to Al Ahli Hospital - A private hospital, I believe they have a website too. I am not sure what the pay for nurses is like in Malaysia but it is not that great here and they only accept full time which is 48hrs a week.

There have been some threads about nursing before - do a search.
