Well,, that totally depends on your income & how much extra you got to save & put behind this....no doubt there is no other SUV like Range Rover..this got terrific looks but also takes terrific money at service...!!

Firstly Land Rover aren't American. They are designed and built in the UK. Now owned by Tata!
They are luxury 5-seat 4x4's so comparing them to patrols or landcruisers isn't the ideal way to go.
They are very highly equipped and thereby expensive compared to other cars available out there. Given the number of them on the road I would say they are reasonably reliable in this climate.
I would say to get it properly inspected at Italian Car Services on Salwa road (Nr Al Jazira Petrol Station) and if it's 2003 onwards then consider it....
Wanted to own one but been discouraged by many people regarding maintenance work later. Weigh these things and if it doesn't bother you then go for it! There's no price for happiness! :)
Maintenance is very high at the Land Rover dealer. I paid 2100 QR for a routine first-year service call (no parts, no problems.) I really wonder what that is for since I don't think the mechanics are getting $80=$100/hr for their work here.

TRY TO AVOID ALL U.S.A CARS
They are more trouble than they are worth. I'd say avoid it and buy a Nissan Patrol or Toyota Land cruiser
IF and IF you think that you got plenty of EXTRA cash in your pocket then just go buy it without even checking or inspecting it.
The maintenance shall be very high. But if you can afford it. There is SUV like the Vogue.
