I want to open a Montessori School in Doha, please help with the latest details about required licencing, feaseability,and the kind of setup that would be required.
First of all I wish you lots of luck in starting up any kind of business in Qatar. I can't really help you, but just want to say that my daughter attends DMBS and I'm really happy with this school, the teachers and the building facilities. It really is a good school and cannot be compared to the old DMBS of (lets say) 2006! There are teachers with Montessori background, but just until KG-level. After KG they change in to British Curriculum. I just cannot stand it when people only tell half of the truth. When you give information to someone, then please make sure you're information is up to date and please stop living in the past.
I do agree that Doha needs more good schools and I'm sure another Montessori school will be greatly appreciated by a lot of parents.

I have no actual details to give you, but just wanted to say THANK GOD someone is doing this!! The British Montessori school is completely misnamed and it NOT, nor ever has been, a true Montessori school.
When I asked called a few years ago to ask about what exactly they did (my sister has a masters in early childhood ed and is a certified Montessori teacher, so I knew what to ask about), they hemmed and hawed and just said they used some books and props, but that they were basically a British school, nobody on staff was even certified in Montessori. When I asked why they didn't just change their name and remove the "Montessori" part, they said it would be too time-consuming and costly.
Guess they'd rather mislead parents and the community than exhibit a little truth in advertising!
I wish you luck on this endeavor. Doha needs A LOT more decent schools, and the Montessori method is one of the best approaches out there!
