Classified Ads - Jobs
Hi,
I was wondering what sort of feedback people get when posting in the Classifieds? I posted an ad a couple of days ago and only got responses that same day, and not necessarily from people who meet the requirements.
What other resources do people use to find qualified staff?
I actually had a man come in to my office and wouldn't leave. He had the nerve to scoff at the security guards and made a comment about them not understanding English. Meanwhile, I think I said "I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're saying" at least 20 times in a number of many ways because I honestly didn't understand his English! Th security guards were about ready to escort him out...2 more seconds and I would have dropped kicked him.
Do things like that happen? I'm glad I wasn't alone.

I send my CV for all the jobs which i know that I am capable but no one responded.

I posted an ad for jobs available at my company and received only 1 CV in response.
The problem was, people - in my opinion - especially some job seekers, abuse the service by frequently re-posting their ads. Some of them re-post several times per hour.
This automatically pushes your ad many pages back very quickly, which reduces the chances of anyone actually seeing it. My ad was on the 10th page within 2 hours.
Therefore, I believe the newspaper is a more sound option.
