Someone asked me why Scotland and England enter the world cup as separate teams, but for so many other sporting events, they enter as the UK?

anybody know why?

laughing at this. lol Very funny.

My thoughts are my own, but I doubt my Mum would agree with some of them.

There's been problem with them ever since we built the wall..

Its best to have seperate teams.

To be honest, I attended a couple of England / Scotland matches. There is no match for scottish supporters, even though they wear skirts.

yeah but the size of their gobs equates to the same population in England so its sort of the same......

precedent. We founded the game so we set the rules.....

any team that wanted to play in international tournaments now would have to be from a soverign nation, not just a region.

Same reason at Fifa that the English FA is simply known as The FA. Every other one has the country name in front.

Scotland join with the UK at other sporting events they are crap at and therefore will have a chance of some glory if they join with England!
