Will this work for getting showtime?

Just moved into a new compound which can't receive Mozaic (yet) so need to go the satellite route.

There's a dish on the roof of the villa which is connected properly, but the dish isn't pointing at a satellite yet.

Question is: if I buy a Showbox from QL classifieds, point the dish in the right direction and just get a smart card from Showtime when I sign up, will it work (or am I missing something)?

I'm new to all this satellite stuff and am getting very confused by it all.
