Do voluntary workers need to be sponsored?

I have a general immigration question...

My Mum wants to work on a voluntary basis whenever she comes to Doha. However, to work here even on a voluntary basis will she need someone to sponsor her? If so, can she be sponsored by me, or will she have to be sponsored by the company for whom she's working for on a voluntary and non-contractual basis?

Lastly, what kind of costs are involved in sponsoring someone?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

She'll be working on a non-regular basis, at whatever days and hours she chooses to do. She won't need ANY remuneration, accommodation, etc from the organisation where she wants to do her voluntary work as she'll live with me.

wel..depends if its full time voluntary or just part time kinda non-regular voluntary..!!

anyways, if your mother is not coming for the purpose of voluntary itself, i dont think there is any need for sponsorship in this case....I am just afraid, company may not even accept voluntary work from a visitor.

hi...

What kind of voluntary work your mother is up to?

As far as i know, anybody who wants to come over Doha needs a sponsor even volunteer workers. If your mom will have an act in a known institution here in Qatar, she can ask that institution to assist her in terms of "Document" requirement.

In terms of expenses, as usual, flight fare, accomodation, foods, etc etc.

Better let your mom discuss it with the institutions she would like to work with, its an ease for her.
