What is the penalty of bringing in of pork foods in Qatar? Will you be in deep trouble if you do so or airport security will just confiscate the items/foods.

They will just confiscate. Avoid anything with bones, which will show up on the x-rays. Mostly they are looking for bottles of alcohol, which they will also confiscate.

If they catch you, then they'll just take it off you, nothing worse.

Just hide it under some clothes or something, X rays never pick it up.

Someone told me there would be a Spinneys opening next year, which will sell pork *slobber*

if you can wait a year, then you won't have to run the risk of importing Illegal meats... :)

Oh, can anyone confirm about the Spinneys?

I don't want to get dissapointed... :(

Forget the penalties and action the police will do if in case, but just to be on the safe side and to avoid embarrassment for you, do not bring in pork.
