here in Qatar is if the workers had better working situations and treated as they should be as employees...ie, paid what they were promised, living conditions up to standard, not 12 people crammed into one room with no working sanitary facilities, hours decent not overworked, and they ability to go home when they need to (not having their passports held by the employer)...THAT would make me happy
ohhh and that animals were treated better and not as they are now. (that goes for expats as well as locals as some expats just abandon their pets when they leave the country, like they were rubbish...)
Other than those...I love Qatar..even with all its quirks...or maybe BECAUSE of its quirks..
If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you; that is the main difference between a dog and man.
I live in Dukhan and I would have said the journey to Doha but in the last month it really has become stress free apart from the odd camel. I really couldn't ask more from Qatar, with Showtime, Aramex and Skype I have all the home comforts without the stress and danger of England. I LOVE this country! I imagine though that if I lived in Doha, I could spend 45 minutes going half a mile in the traffic instead of the Dukhan to Doha trip so I do sympathise.
