Do you feel that driving in Qatar has become more pleasant than it was one year ago?

Let's put that way, we're all glad your traffic experience has been good.

Please don't solicit Qlers views about traffic, you'll be mortified. Check out the recent series of QL posts on Traffic.

Driving in Qatar is much better than driving in Johor Bahru :)

hahaha, no, it is not a trick question, believe me. I just want to get the general consensus among QLers about driving in Doha, that's all.

On a personal note, I've noticed that there seems to be fewer people honking at traffic lights the moment it turns green. Perhaps it's a sense of good road manners... or have I been plain lucky not to witness this?

No, it was not a trick question. I thought the author might have some statistical indicators on accident rate in Qatar.

just few minutes back soon after i dropped my friend to her house, i passed by this local cafeteria and there was a huge hooligan crowd, almost blocking the street, one the hooligans almost bumped my car, and they for sure freaked me out. I thought they would start following me since i was alone. So i sped up and reached home as soon as i could...

I have only been here for 6 months, but find that there are less honking going around. The driving of some people are still pretty crap, but it seems to be getting better.

Driving is slower by the corniche, due to surveillance cameras place this year. It’s obvious that locals are no more placing the left foot on the dashboard, while driving

Any accident statistics for this year?

Sitting behind the steering wheel is interesting for atleast a few of u like. But, in Qatar its not as much pleasnt now a days.. coz the revenue through the red signal crossing has been reduced very much. So now we can see many spider cams in various parts in Qatar. The driving will be pleasant until you gets a ticket. Best of luck..! Enjoy pleasant driving..
