Most countries are involved in "conflicts" around the world.. Using your model, only Switzerland, Maldives, cayman islands, andorra and a couple of others would be eligible..
HOLD ON ! This would give my Cuban Shotputter a chance to win Gold :)
"Safety comes first"?, Brit, I think they should do it like they did it for the Olympic Games in Greece: Countries which were at war were not allowed to attend the games. Simple and clear. I'd definitively go for that. But I think, money speaks. Prove me wrong, if you can.
You cannot mix terrorism with sports. I never thought the Jihadis now targets a game. Shooting a visiting cricket team is just insane. ICC is correct anticipating the many more of such to come.
Well, being Pakistani i would say it is very sad for all of us but again if we see the reality, they have done right.
Attack on SRI LANKAN team was the only excuse for ICC and other cricket teams to boycott PAKISTAN at all. Time to time attacks on famous locations and cities has made cricket celebrities more vulnerable to such incidents and ofcourse why they would sacrifice their safety when they do have option to play WC matches in other venues. Our government has sacrifices too many civilians and security persons for the sake of WAR AGAINST TERRORISM but never able to bring situation under control. So we pakistanis have to accept this bitter reality and we should be having a sigh of relief that if the SRILANKAN team incident happens again especially during WC matches then we will suffer more in all aspects.

Sorry to hear this but in light of recent events I see no other option .....
I dont think many teams would be happy playing there...
but congratulations to Pakistan for giving the Afghanis a love for cricket!
What else do you expect them to do. The visiting team of Srilanka were almost blown, it was a very narrow escape.

they deserve it.
really disappointing and unfortunate.
Pakistan should be more concerned about internal security.
Give assurance to international community in
providing required safety and security to players; which seems difficult at this point of time.

I hate cricket with a passion, however it has been proven by the team Sri Lanka that it's not safe there.

Sadly speaking, I'm in favour of ICC decision.
