If you are using more software programs, go for laptops with 3GB Ram with brands like Dell and IBM. If you are using mainly for browsing and office programs go for compaq laptop with 2GB ram, 2.14GHz processor and 120GB hard disk. Now a days it costs only QR.2200

HP and Toshiba are good

Make sure the RAM is more than 2 GB for Vista

Processor model and speed to be considered according to your budget.

Other features such as card reader, blue-tooth, web-cam, design are up to your budget and interest.

IBM also good in my experience.

If you don't want to use more than 2 or 3 years, then Dell & Acer are also good.

Either HP or Toshiba and 2GB of RAM (but I recommended 3GB) and 200GB of HD.

Goodluck.

Dear

out of experience and you have allocated budget in between 3,000 to 4,000 Qr, then look for the highest ( Level 2 Cashe = 6 MB )
