Swine Flu or Landcruisers: which one is more lethal in Qatar?

How about restricting the engine size of a vehicle which can be used by the younger age drivers, an newly passed drivers: how about

Up to the age of 25 no vehicle bigger than 2L engine, this alone would save so many especially the rich who allow their kids to drive sports cars and 2 ton land cruisers before they have any sense! What happened to the minister is really bad, use this now as a reason to stop the killing and needless death

How about just enforcing the existing traffic law, including speed limits and dangerous driving.

It isn't a lack of legislation - that already exists.

And it isn't a lack of police - there are police cars as far as the eye can see.

It is a total lack of respect for the rule of law among a small minority of youths, and a lack of willingness to enforce the law by the police.

fubar, your spot on. But how can they do this.

Ban all the Landcruisers and other big 4x4's

or by better education and awarness and hard hitting fines and advertising?

Pikey, bearing in mind that such a high profile minister was killed, yet another death among so many others, by yet another idiot young driver behind the wheel of a land cruiser, then perhaps there has never been a better time for the police to clamp down on these dangerous drivers.

Rather than mulling how to respond to the *possibility* of swine flu possibly killing people, they should instead respond to the reality that every day these lunatic drivers *are* killing people.

My list would be:

1 - Land crusiers

2 - Pick ups

3 - Minivans

4 - German sports cars

etc

1000 - Swine flu

Got to agree with Baldrick on this one. It is a bit bad taste after a Senior High Ranking Minster from the ruling family clan was crushed to death by a Landcruiser driven by a 20 year old on Thursday

There's a very high chance of being killed by a landcruiser here. The statistics will probably back this argument. The drivers of these things should be shot!

LAND CRUISERS ARE DRIVEN BY A MOVING PIECE OF FLESH W/O BRAIN

but agree with many of you : Land Cruisers are probably the bigger threat here!

Sure, sure, it should be a Land Cruisers. After reading all the posting and comments few weeks back by QLers on the bad attitude of these land cruisers issues, no doubt it should be it.

Put the landcruisers owners/drivers into quarantine.

BaldDog, sitting tight and doing nothing to stop those Landcruisers from their killing spree attempts on the roads of Qatar, is what I call poor taste

I have to say for me, right now... Landcruisers (even though all my family and friends are in Mexico)... This is something I can relate to right now. I panic every time I get on roundabouts hehe

In light of the death of a high ranking minister, don't you think this is in poor taste?
