True enough...but will have to have a large majority of local folks that have dogs and want to walk them, or someone really important...so I'm still looking for those flying pigs...

a dog park where people could take their dogs for walks and let them play in a GRASSED, fenced area. The park at Aspire used to allow that but they kept cutting the available hours down until now they won't allow dogs at all. Now when you take your dog for a walk, you get people screaming, barking, meowing and yelling obscene things at you...all while walking on a lovely heated sidewalk.

Boulevard St. Germaine would be great in Doha. And the Forum Romanum. Maybe a little pyramid like the ones in Gizeh would also pop up the face of Doha?
Oh, I'm not an urban planner by any stretch of the imagiination. But based on recent urban developments I know that more will come. At the end of the day you can't please everyone but one can try to please the majority group. There are places in Qatar that I am not comfortable going to because of the crowds of people but they live here too so that's my choice not to go.
Step by step Umm Jake...Rome wasn't built in a day...I'm sure in time there will be all these things. Perhaps the fun park is to appeal to the majority...I can imagine it being very popular with 'the masses' as weekend entertainment.

They've got enough money, God knows, and honestly -- does the world need another fun park? Especially THIS part of the world; it is SO hard to instill in kids a love of learning and a general appreciation for being curious about the world.
