Hands yes, hugs better to avoid and then just use your imagination to express your love.

With my husband we have many ways to show our love to each other without being offensive for the locals...well I hope... (like the finger kissing, I touch his finger with mine, when we go out in a restaurant...isn't like in ET film now that I think about it??? It may not be like a kiss but it's enough for me to fell all his love). We did not really plan them...they were created with the time.

And just do not do anything you are not too sure in order not to spoil the few days you have with your BF by being worried all the time.

:-)

Well it’s also depending on the nationality of your bf. Those who where here for long time in Qatar they know what I’m talking about. ;)

better safe than sorry...

Doha is not a strict state nor a free one also...

You have waited a long time so why not wait for atleast an hour or 2 and you can do the hugging in the privacy of you house...

YES ! You can do it! To be more precise, the only restrictions are:

No flashing(Exposing private parts) in public place.

Having sex in public place.

else, u r free to do any thing !

Good luck !

Be careful of the hugging police. Hard to tell from ordinary Qataris and they have the power of instant execution for any morally dubious behaviour. They seem very tolerant however of men hugging men, men kissing men and men holding hands for long periods. So to be safe dress like a man with a fake beard.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do (and in this case don't do). Public displays of affection (PDAs) just isn't their way here; although I have seen Arabs/Qataris holding hands in public. (I assume they're husband and wife.) ...and of course you and your BF are going to be staying in 2 separate locations, right? Like you won't be spending the night together or anything like that, 'cuz they don't really like that, either :-)

I just came through the airport about 2 hours ago. Lots of hugging. Girl on Boy, Boy on Boy, I even hung around for a few minutes to see if there was gonna be a little Girl on Girl action, but no such luck ;o)

Hugging ain't a problem, but leave it at that.

Of course you can. I'll certainly be hugging my bf and giving him a kiss (on the cheek) when he gets here!

If you are unsure why dont you save the displays of affection at home? If you have been apart for a long time waiting another hour wont kill you.
