need advice on helping out a filipina friend

Goodmorning,

I really hope someone can give me some advice. I am trying to help out a filipina friend who is stuck in a dead end contract. She has found a great job here in Qatar but off course, her boss will not give her a NOC because he says that is the policy of the company. Now, she has a boyfriend who has said that he wants to marry her in the phillipines. She think that by changing her name to her married name and then getting a new passport means that she can then enter the country again without a problem.

Does anyone know if this is true? I really don't want her to get stuck in the phillipines and be separated from her boyfriend and friends.

Please, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

My friend and her husband are both fillipino. The company have already said that will not give her a NOC or transfer her sponsorship to her husband. In other words, you either work for us or you are out of the country.

may i ask what's the nationality/status of the would be husband??..cus we are all assuming the husband is "capable" of sponsoring her back to qatar...but the husband's status is a big factor also if he's going to sponsor her.

Just a bit of common sense... I would imagine that if she were to go ahead and get married, then the company here really couldn't object to her transferring her sponsorship to her husband after the marriage... There would be many reasons for them to want to do that once she gets married cos otherwise it could lead to legal problems for her AND her sponsor... So once she is married, the existing sponsor would be more forthcoming if not eager to get her sponsorship off of their hands and on to her husbands.

Once she is in her husband's sponsorship then really she is free to do as she pleases with her employment situation...

Meanwhile, to make it easier, she could consider NOT telling the current sponsor that she plans of quitting... Its one thing to want to transfer sponsorship because you want to be in your husband's sponsorship and its another thing to want to transfer sponsorship because you want to change jobs....

thanks mariam but isn't it so that the husband has to earn a certain amount before he can sponsor anyone? That would definately be a problem I think. I really want to help her out so badly as she is such a good person and her boss is a complete...$%$#$%

I agree with what THE REPLACEMENT told you. She can change the name and passport and able to comeback in Doha as husband sponsor but if they're going to transfer to working visa it will not be possible because of the fingerprint(proven based on experience). But if she will come on husband sponsor I think its not a problem.

thanks for your quick replies. She has tried offering her boss money but he says that it is the policy of the company to never give our NOC's1! Even though she is finishing her contract. He is telling her that she can only renew her contract or go back to the phillipines.

NOw, I just spoke to the embassy and the guy at the consult desk told me that she could enter on her news passport on her husband name to get a visit visa and then to apply for a working visa.

He didn't mention the fingerprints. Is it not so that they issue the visa before doing fingerprints?

Sister, sorry to break the news to you but here NOC is everything. You cannot move to another company without it. Even if you change your name or your surname to be specific you cannot change your fingerprints which is already in their database for comparison. I highly suggest that you sit down with your present employer, discuss the matters in details and offer/propose to them a "compensation" deal for your release.

Cheers,

She can only have the chance to come back if she changed her status to married and come back here by husband sponsor....

Changing a name and getting a new passport does not change your Finger print in the data base .
