Sorry to cut in the middle of the thread. I am too trying to get details for obtaining for housemaid visa.

Where can i get more details regarding all the requirements?

Is it impossible to have the maid visa if my husband salary less than minimum? what about if our both salary combination reach the minimum requirements?

Really need details of this procedure from QL-ers who has it.

Thank you so much,

desperate mom

The interior ministry here grants a maid visa depending upon your nationality, religion, your and wife's occupation, the number of kids you have and various other considerations. There are certain restrictions applicable to applicants employed with the private sector who wish to sponsor a maid or household staff.

Usually, a minumum salary of QR15,000 for the husband and other benefits is required to qualify for a maid's visa. The interior ministry will ask proof of income such as your job contract and bank statements as proof.

The salary of the maid itself depends upon her nationality. The lowest nowadays is from Sri Lanka, at US$150 per month, free food, accommodation and 60-days leave in two years. Indonesian maids are available for US$200 pm plus all the other facilities I mentioned. Filipina maids are US$300 per month. Indian maids US$200 per month. These are estimated salaries and exact details can be had from the respective embassies. In addition you'll be required to offer free medical facilities and certain other benefits as stipulated by the labor agreements between the country of the maid and Qatar.
