Hi all. I have a very big problem. Its jumping/beating the red light..The fine is too much (QR6,000) that I cannot afford to pay. I already went to Madina Khalifa and Karaitiat but it seems that my violation cannot be reduced to any amount. I crossed a straight road and my seconds is over their maximum allowed time. I have no intention to beat the red light. I have not seen its already red..This worries me a lot since I dont have that much money to pay that huge amount. Please suggest me what to do. Thanks in advance.

For Baldrick and just to explain my side:

First, when i cross the street, i thought that its still yellow and it turns out to red. I was already in the middle road that time so I was not able return back. I realised now that crossing the road when its yellow is not advisable..(Actually, i dont do such thing..i dont really understand why i crossed the road that time..maybe im not in clear thoughts or because of some problems in my mind)

Second, I am not stupid enough to post and ask this question if i know that what i did have caused accident to others. But im thankful for reminding me such possible consequence.

Third, i think that taking a bus is not a good option for me.

I will learn my lesson the hard way..tsk tsk..i think there is no more option than to pay.. thanks anyways..

If your financial situation is not good enough, you might get your salary letter & apply with Qatar Charity explaining the problem you mentioned here. I hope they'll help on humanitarian basis.

Nobody was rude. Just truthful and realistic. You broke the law. Intentional or not, Red is Red.

Kindly explain how you didn't see the red light.

I made a suggestion. Get the bus. If you can't to the time, don't do the crime. QR6000 is a lot of money for everyone, not just you, but the majority of us appreciate that fact and don't run red lights.

You also may not be able to leave the country until you settle this fine.

It's very hard to have sympathy for you because you did something wrong and there really is no excuse.

If you weren't looking at the traffic light when you crossed the intersection, then where were you looking?

Inattentive drivers cause accidents daily, that's why the fines are so high.

Thanks for those people who answered nicely. For those rude answers, you are not helping me. Hope you wont experience the same with mine. I said that I have no intention to beat the red light..

Just sell your car and pay it.

You know that after a while, they start charging interest fees... And you won't be able to renew your registration before you pay it.

Drive attentively next time. You can charge it to experience. No choice but to pay it.

I fee pity for you. But, unfortunately you have to pay the fine. The fine may be more if you repeat jumping red signal.

I have seen some people doing the below mistakes.

1) As soon as they see amber, they increase the speed and try to cross signal.

2) Even if the intersection is not clear, they cross the line and get caught by camera.

Jumping red signal is dangerous and serious offence, please avoid doing it even if there is no camera in the signal.

You have a big problem? We have a big problem. Dangerous idiots like you on the road not paying attention. If you killed a 3 year old kid instead of getting a 6K fine would that make you sleep easier?

Get a loan and pay your fine and pay more attention in future.

Hi all. I have a very big problem. Its jumping/beating the red light..The fine is too much (QR6,000) that I cannot afford to pay.

It's not too much. It's the going rate.

I already went to Madina Khalifa and Karaitiat but it seems that my violation cannot be reduced to any amount.

Good. You broke the law. Pay up.

I crossed a straight road and my seconds is over their maximum allowed time. I have no intention to beat the red light. I have not seen its already red.

If you didn't see the red light maybe you shouldn't be driving at all.

This worries me a lot since I dont have that much money to pay that huge amount. Please suggest me what to do.

Get the bus.

Thanks in advance.

You're welcome.

Well, you have to pay from either CREDIT CARD or PERSONAL LOAN or from your own pocket

.

No other way, I guess. Moreover, dear you must be very much attentive on roads as not only ur life is very important but other's life too
