I have delivered twice at Hamad, never by c-section, and had a very good experience both times. I really see no need to go private and spend all that money honestly. Just one word, though, is ask them to just have local anathaesia. so you actually feel a part of your baby's birth. and see the baby directly afterward. don't let them wisk her away if everything is fine.

100% in Hamad hospital...this is coming from experience......I had C section due to complicated pregancy......before i was in Doha hospital the doctors there couldnt do anything......

let hope nothing happen but any complicate cases tend to end up in Hamad hospital anyway...so better be there....

Well friend my wife got a baby last month on 18th in C-section in AL Ahli.

Regarding hospital care it was remarkable, i did not felt that i am dealing with hospital, the care was like a family.

And C-section they have one of the best doctors one Pakistani female doctor (head) and other a male german doctor. This Pakistani doctor had been working for the hamad hospital too on same position.

My wife had third C-case. And it goes normal.

I did not mentioned the small problems i faced in Al Ahli coz these are negligible.

Best of luck.

I agree with 'noms' when he says there's no comparison between these two! it completely depends upon what u desire.. well if u can afford and would like to have individual concentration then ofcourse u should opt for Al Ahli. but on the other hand, being a free (or lets say almost free) government hospital 'HMC' is doing a great job. i've experienced them in almost everything... they are masters & they have a very strong team!

however, the ultimate decision is gonna be ur's!

MAY THE BEST HOSPITAL WINS! :P

its is surely a competition between these two hospital with regard to preganancy consultation & delivery..

but dont you forget, you are comparing 'almost free of charge hospital' with 'damn expensive ripping off' hospital.

I am due next Month, and I was going for my scans etc in Al Alhi however, I have decided not to give Birth there, I found that they are always rushed, and never give clear answers when I asked Questions, however this is my personal opinion.

I am giving Birth in Al Khor (HMC) Hospital, they do 30-40 births a month compared to Hamad in Doha of 40 per day!, its a very relaxed and chilled hospital and the Docs are great... they take alot of time to explain everything to you... I was there today and had a nice induction on Breast Feeding whilst I was waiting for my Doc to talk me thru my Ultrasound.

At the end of the day... its all about what makes you feel Comfortable... and what you feel safe with.

Visit the Hospitals and take a tour, maybe this will help in your decision.

Well, if you can afford it, go for Al ahli, it is the better choice .
