Wants TO adopt a Pug !

There have been several enquiries about Pugs on QL and lots to the vet clinics in the last month or so. the vets can import you a pure bred Pug puppy but they are expensive breeds to buy, difficult to import because they have been on the banned list in the past and very expensive to keep healthy as their airway is very badly affected by the sand.

Call around on the off chance, if they have one I am sure they will be delighted to offer it to a good home.

I don't want a pet just because it is in fashion . and i never knew that dogs are a fashion accesory . :< i think it is realy stupid to make animals a fashion thing .

Does anyone know the numbers for the vets here in doha ?

The latest fashion so often is the least suitable dogs for this climate. We have had Husky, GSD, Retreiver and now the Pug. As they are in the height of fashion you are unlikely to find one for adoption, but if you wait until next season when they are replaced by something else, you will easily find them looking for homes or running in the streets. I'm sorry, I'm sure you are a fabulous person and a great owner but after 3 years now seeing the fashions coming and going and having to deal with the fallout, I cannot understand why any dog lover would want to have a dog that is going to suffer. A pug in the dust and heat here is not going to cope well and will probably get stolen and used for fighting anyway. The reason Salukis are so common here is because this is their native land, they cope with the heat and dust because they have evolved that way, by far the best dogs to have and if how it looks is important to you, they are beautiful as well.

Before you purchase a dog from a pet store, please contact the local vets as they might have one or know of someone who does. Please, also check out ANY pet store before buying from them as some of them have sick animals or do not keep them in clean healthy conditions.

You need to visit a pet shop in order to get a pug. Very few people own this kind.
