Qatar embarks on first domestic worker survey

Qatar will try to help working and living conditions for domestic workers in the Gulf state, following the completion of the first national survey into the issue, it emerged on Wednesday.

The survey on domestic workers in Qatar will be completed soon and the findings will be announced by the end of this year, Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking, the organisers of the study, said.

agree with you alpha......but at least they noticed that domestic problems are happening here in doha, hope some solutions can be enforce before 5 years from now

if we'er happy with our job, we're not just gonna leave without saying a valid reason to our boss. But if there's something wrong with the system of our employment, me myself would also leave without any concern to my employer.

Good for them- at least now we can see a list of sorts of the people who are employed as housemaids.

I would like to do a survey on all the labor camps in Qatar, the living conditions, housing, sanitation , their problems etc..,

Well my maid has done a runner already. My neighbour thinks it is because we paid her too much, so now she has enough money to return home, half way through her Contract:) I am sure she will contact me for her exit permit?
