Some advice please?......

Hello all, Im a newby on this site, can anyone give me the benefit of their experience?

My situation (bear with me, I will try to keep it short!);
I hope to get married soon to my boyfriend in Qatar, he was born there and just got his visa to go back and join his family there.

From what i understand (please feel free to correct me) i can be sponsored by my spouse initally and then (hopefully) find work when i get my employers to sponsor me? An easy task?....does anyone have an experience to share?

I will need to have blood tests and xrays, fingerprinted etc etc..comments welcome on this experience?

Im advised that i will need to have a full medical, aswell as a police check before going to Qatar?

I have so many qeustions, i guess the main thing is to get an idea of what you personally have experienced and any tips on making it as least stressful as possible....

Ive bought many books and read up on Qatar living, but iguess you cant beat real experiences and advice from the people who live there now.

Many Thanks in advance.

Welcome, Shaymaa. Your fiance will need to be employed, making over a certain salary and will need to apply for a family visa in order to sponsor you when you are married. It will be easier if you are married before you come. You only need a police clearance from the UK if you are to be employed here. Your medical and fingerprints will be done in Doha. If you wish to find a job in Qatar you do not necessarily need to change your sponsorship from your husband's. In fact, it's better if you don't then you don't run into issues when leaving/changing employers.

You need to get married first to get a spouse visa.
