"But I'm special-er than money!"
I am currently reading Chicken Soup for the Working Mom's soul and I would like to share this article not only to the working moms but to the fathers as well.
Out of the Mouth of Babes - Miriam Hill
I talked to a guy at work who's been married for thirty four years. His two sons are grown and gone. He talked about how fast times goes by and how parents have to make sacrifices. You can't turn the clock back.I'm working full time, maybe more, I may take the risk and go part time in the fall. Amy will be out of school at three'o clock, so maybe I could work five hours a day and be there to pick her up. I asked her this morning what she'd like, and she said she'd like me to be there. I told her my options-how I could work less-we would get less money_but we would have more time together. She said, "But I'm special-er than money!". Out of the mouth of babes.
Simple words but straight to the point.
No work over time today, Go home early. Hug and kiss your child. Tried and tested stress reliever.
I agree...
You can't turn the cock back
What you are saying is definitely true. The more time we spend with your loved ones will mean only one thing...less money, and vise versa. Our family is our priority but the reason we are working hard is because of their future as well. Our life in in balancing act but this is life. Good luck to you.
Nothing is more relaxing than flying like an Eagle in Heaven !!
