Airline Overcharging

I have only been here for a short time, but i noticed that the airlines are ripping us off with the airfares to fly to Dubai,a 1 hour flight is the same price as going to London, and if you notice that Emirates and Qatar Air are always and nearly the same price, that is called price fixing, the fair should be around 600 max

That's what they called the peak and off peak season.. try to avoid traveling in peak season not unless it is an emergency trip. summer time until last week of September the rate will be doubled. November is fine but not December.

"Actual taxes on the route are 70 riyals" - Really? I thought they'd be much more than that. Where is this information available?

It recently dawned on me what sort of scam this is.

I return from Doha-DXB-Doha is 430QR even with miles. These are apparently 'taxes'. Since the actual taxes on the route are 70 riyals, I can only assume 'gullible moron for falling for this scam' tax is 360QR of the total.

If you book Dubai-Doha-Dubai with miles, it's a spectacular 675 AED. Don't even ask me how that one works.

The only solution is use Emirates, get Skywards miles, 9,000 miles to Dubai plus 70 riyals.

We just had to buy a ticket for some one, 2,500QAR. Round trip.

This is more than a rip off. Should have checked for First Class, may have been cheaper.

Then don't fly to Dubai. Nobody is forcing you.

If everyone stopped flying, eventually they'd get the message.

I've never paid anywhere near to the cost of a flight to London for a flight to Dubai.

They should consider having a ferry service to Abu Dhabi/Dubai. That way one can take the car and also avoid Saudia. It will cost less that aircharge too.
