Because I'm considering to buy a 95 mustang.
Some of my friend said that it's kinda hard to find spare parts here. And they also suggest that the service center also give a very bad service.
Can anyone enlight me regarding this? thx in advance
First, any American car made during this period and over 4 years old will be a maintenance disaster for you. You will be putting more money into it for maintenance than you think. On top of that, Ford dealer parts are extortionately expensive. I know because I had a Ford. They repeatedly raped me every time I showed up at the service center.
Ford dealer is 400- 500% markup on parts. This practice should be illegal in Qatar. One time I asked the price for a part at Ford dealer here and they wanted
QR 1800 minimum. For fun I called Ford dealer in USA and this EXACT SAME part was $110. (410 QR) I ended up
purchasing on internet and shipped to Qatar for total of 600 QR. And this was years ago, imagine what it is like now.
American car quality at this time is legendarily bad. And still is today. American car Ford, Chrysler and GM (with the exception of Cadillac) sad but true are the amongst the worst quality, durability in the world.
Just take a look in Qatar and see which cars are more than 10 years on the road - Japanese. There is a reason behind for this my friend. Go ahead and buy Ford, the agents at Ford service center you will make good friends with as you will see them often.
I would like to know the answer to this as well. Every time I see a Mustang I think how nice it would be to have one. Then I tell myself what a mistake it would be to buy one because I know nothing about their general reliability, maintenance costs here or availability of parts.
Anyone got one or had one who can add some thoughts and opinions to this thread for the original poster and me?

stay away from those bastards. the ford dealer in Qatar is a rip off artist
a 95 mustang will need maintenance frequently, needing they will take you for a lot of rides

Definately not a good idea to buy a 95 any car in Doha. unless it has never been taken out of the Ford dealership showroom and has 0000 mileage.
