Anyone with a good land loard?

We have been living in our flat ( 3 bed rooms) & paying 8000 qr. Recently we got a notification from the owner of the building that he had cancelled his contract with the agent (who we hadnt dealt with & whose name was new to us). He was asking us to either vacate his building or sign fresh contract with him. In all this we realised we had signed a one fully paid contract with a sub-agent.

We were lucky this sub agent was reputable & had been recommended to my husband by one of his colleagues. We ve learned a few lessons, be sure to sign any contract with the agent..confirm agency at all cost. Plus ,up front payments are a big trick. We were lucky or else we could have lost over 96,000qr . We justr got our cheque back today and we are praying its not a fake.

I feel so sick of the place, i just realised these people cook and their scents come thru every possible in let to my flat. Iamusually satisfied with scent b4 i even get to my chicken.

We met the landlord, he came to see us himself and hopefully he will turn out to be the real one. I badly need to move out of here. I need recommendations for good apartments around old airport road without such messes. Any of you with a good land loard?

Thanx guys for the advise. Its definately eye opening & we are now waiting for the landlord on Monday. He's probably expecting a full 9 months up front payment but will be shocked how much knowledgeable we are now.

It's best to rent on a monthly basis, no contract, needed. It's a little more money but the stress of dealing with landlord, deposits, electric hookup, is a nightmare, in my opinion.

Check out a few building on B ring and Matar Street. I am renting 2 bedroom, monthly basis, for 8500 QAR. It's call Jumeirah furnished apt. If you need number, let me know.
