If you have Q-Tel router then you have to set IP address in Vista..I also had the same router before...because normally when you try to connect with your mbile phone just like N95 or N82 ou also have to set IPs there...To get rid f these things I just buy other router (D-link or Linksys)from market..No need to set IPs on these routers....
you need to change your ISP settings, these are the settings that I use as advised by QTEL
Go to Network then click on Network and Sharing Center.
Then click on Manage Network Connections on the left side,
Right click on the Mozaic icon, click on properties, click on Internet Protocol Version 4 ,then Properties again, then you need to use the following IP address
Use the following IP address- use the numbers in the boxes
Your problem is very simple and can be resolved in no time. Please call 111, explain your problem to the customer service agent, she/he will transfer your call to Technical services. They will tell you to open your wireless network properties page, tell you to enter the IP addresses and DNS server numbers sutiable for Vista and that's it. Then, you will get connected through Wi-Fi in Vista too. All the best.
